Visit from Grammy Award Winning Songwriter

Students were surprised with a special visit from Grammy Award Winner, Mr. Gary Baker (grandfather of Bella, 5th grade, and Cruise, 2nd grade).  He joined us for Chapel services and Music Class, and serenaded students with several of his hit songs, like “I Swear” and “I’m Already There”.  Students sat spellbound as Mr. Baker shared fascinating stories about his family, career, and the art of songwriting.  The impromptu visit closed with a heart-felt message about faith, love, perseverance, and “don’t ever forget where you come from”.
